Who loves wine here, raise your hand? I won’t lie - I’m over here raising BOTH my hands. I love loveeee wine.
And - who loves all-things-French? Of course, I’m still raising both hands because French people are so chic I can barely stand it. Literally, I saw a French girl on Instagram wearing a dress the other day, and legit, went online and bought it the same day. I love the way they think, I love the way they dress, I love the way they don’t make leisure time feel like a luxury.
But did you know you can have your wine and your faux-French life too?
This past year I discovered Caudalie, one of my new favorite French skincare brands. Through researching the skincare benefits that came from their family vineyard in Bordeaux, they found that there are tons of incredible ingredients found within wine grapes and vines.
Their Vine[Active] has quickly become a part of my daily skincare routine. French obsession aside, I think my favorite part about the line is it’s protection against pollution. And with pollution getting worse and worse (without much looking up in the near future), I’m focusing heavily on my skin protection. Here’s a bit about each of the products I’m loving:
Overnight Detox Oil:
I’m going to admit something to you - I’m not great at my nighttime skincare routine. I’m just not. This stuff makes me want to drag myself out of my cozy bed to MAKE IT HAPPEN. The oils work to renew and protect overworked skin while you sleep. They even did a study on 21 women over a month span and 100% of them said their skin looked less tired after using it. Say no more fam!
3-in-1 Moisturizer
If you’re commuting into the city every day for work, you need this moisturizer. It’s formulated to limit the quantity of pollutant particles deposited on the skin (yay!), and visibly smooths wrinkles and restores skin to its natural, healthy glow. It’s a great size too - something I’d take traveling but not necessarily “travel sized.”
Energizing and Smoothing Eye Cream
Dark circles are like pesky summer mosquitos…always around when you don’t want them, never-ending relentlessness sucks the life out of you. Well you can say goodbye to them because this gentle cream alleviates dark circles for a refreshed look. Studies done on 19 volunteers over a month reduced crows feet wrinkles by a forth! (If you couldn’t tell, I really enjoyed stats in college!) I use this both morning and night.
If you're looking for a great place to pick up these, I snagged them at Sherber + Rad, one of my favorite dermatology and skincare spaces in DC! I had the loveliest facial there a few weeks ago. After my facial, I had my makeup done by Enrique Valentino and I was blown away by his talent. I've literally never looked better in my ENTIRE LIFE. Not exaggerating. He used Tom Ford makeup and gave me tons of awesome tips for achieving that natural, effortless look. Honestly, each member of the Sherber + Rad team really impressed me. I'd highly recommend!
