It’s here, friends! We’ve welcomed cooler weather and coats, but only because it's the most wonderful time of the year - the holidays!
This year, I’m really working to reduce stress and add a little more joy to the season...and with a little one now, I want to instill that the holidays are more about spending time together and less about a million toys under the tree.
In an effort to reduce stress this holiday season, I’ve decided to do just a couple things - complete my gift shopping list early, spend time doing things I love most (baking, photography), and plan my outfits ahead of time so I can avoid last-minute closet meltdowns. Here are a few fun, affordable outfit ideas to get your holidays off to fun start!
Let’s talk about the office holiday party - this always seems like a tough one to navigate! I like to keep things fun and festive with a midi dress (this one is from Sandro and I picked it up when we went to Paris years ago!) I paired it with some sweet, sparkly flats from CHARLES & KEITH.
These are super cute, very affordable, and your feet will thank you for wearing these slip-ons at the end of the night! I finished the look with a fun little backpack from them as well! I love these because you can really be hands-free to grab snacks and a drink (having to decide between the two should be a crime!)
For a little holiday date night, I think I'll wear this gorgeous slip dress - after about two years of growing a tiny human and then working my way back to fitting into my old clothes, this one finally fits again! I remember wearing it often in the summer, but for winter, it just needs a few little touches.
First, a great pair of boots is essential. This black bootie from CHARLES & KEITH keeps the look feeling seasonally appropriate. I didn't want the whole outfit to feel too matchy-matchy so I paired it with a cognac-colored skinny belt to help define my curves a bit.
I'm very into the faux snakeskin vibes lately, and this sweet little lady bag feels trendy and classic at the same time.
What about for family gatherings or get-togethers with friends? My go-to look this year will be a midi-length skirt (surprise, surprise!), silky blouse, over-the-knee boots and a faux-fur coat.
Because the faux fur coat can feel a bit bulky, I wanted to keep my purse choice simple with this sweet little two-toned clutch. It actually has a silver chain strap that goes with it too, but I liked it without for this look.
And let's talk for a minute about these boots from CHARLES & KEITH. They are definitely the star of the show. I love the low heel and classic houndstooth pattern...and they're stretchy in the back so you won't have to worry about these sliding down.
Now that I have my outfits all planned for the holidays, I'd love to know - are you planning your looks ahead this year?
