After a weekend of trying to stay cool amidst the insane heat save that has taken over the DC area, I’m feeling like it’s time for a refreshing look on the blog. We spent our weekend binge-watching Ozark (not proud to say we finished the series in a day and a half), so I’m trying my best to be ambitious this week and share a few looks I’ve been sporting on the reg.
Here's an outfit that I’ve been wearing on repeat in many different ways. If you follow on Instagram, you’ll notice this dress has been dressed up for dates and dressed down for errands. It’s one of the most perfect versatile pieces I own right now.
Here’s what else I’m loving right now:
Basket Bags
This is clearly the It bag for summer. Most are quite affordable as well, which makes this a trend I can get behind. This stunning bag is from Boheme Goods - it’s such a fun shape and fits a number of misc things I carry with me at all time (multiple pairs of sunnies, lipstick, my phone and some snackoes!)
These Swedish Hasbeen Clogs
To be honest, when I first spotted the clog trend coming into play, I wasn’t sure what to think. It felt so 90s in a way I wasn’t sure if I could incorporate into my wardrobe. However, upon receiving this pretty pair from Swedish Hasbeens, it became clear these would be one of my favorite staples for summer. They’re that perfect shoe that bridges the casual and dressy pieces you want to wear together. They help elevate any outfit, but I’ve used them to dress up a denim dress (above) and dress down a fancier outfit (coming soon!)
Anything in a Terra-cotta Tone
I love the color of this Tess Top by local designer Mimi Miller - it’s something I can wear now but also seamlessly transition into Fall. Ot has the perfect slouch too, making it quite easy to literally eat anything I want without anyone being able to see my Food Baby. Also a matching Gucci belt? Yes please.
Coffee Dates
This day, I joined my photographer friend, Jahns, for a coffee date at Grace Street Coffee. I talked all about the importance of being inspired in our everyday lives, and DC offers so many coffee shops that leave me feeling more inspired after I leave. Maybe it’s the caffeine, maybe it’s the aesthetics…either way, I can’t get enough of them!
What are YOU loving right now?!
