I’ll admit - sometimes I live in my own world. Ever since, well, forever, I’ve wanted to live a European lifestyle...

It's been a crazy Fall so far, but in the most wonderful way. Between NYFW, special holiday projects and just daily life at the 9-5, I'm doing my very best to just keep my head above water. The great news is - I have so many exciting posts to share with you...the problem is finding the time to get them all up on here! But don't fret - I promise they're coming. ;)
How great is this midi skirt from Rent the Runway? I rented it for NYFW and wore it to a ton of events. (Even if it was over 90 degrees outside - the things we do for fashion!) This would be perfect for an upcoming holiday party with a chunky sweater or silky blouse too.
I'll let you in on a little secret - this outfit has been sitting on my camera since NYFW for a while, so rather than go into the nitty gritty of why I wore the outfit, I thought I'd just share the photos with you. I mean, THE VIEW. Do I really need to say anything else?
Wearing Harvey Faircloth midi skirt via Rent the Runway, Tibi blouse (love this similar one on sale!), Banana Republic heels, The Scarf Shop silk scarf c/o, Sophie Blake earrings, H&M sunnies (avail in-store only), Chanel bag via Bag, Borrow or Steal.
Renewed Faith in Skinny Jeans
I had written them off. The bottom of my legs would get claustrophobic just thinking about squeezing into a pair of skinny jeans. Threw out my last pair a few months ago. GOOD RIDDANCE. Or so I thought.
Then Piperlime sent me some of their favorite fall pieces…and guess what was on the list? You guessed it. SKINNY JEANS. I about had a heart attack. What if they didn’t even fit? I immediately regretted the (numerous) pieces of pumpkin pie from the night before, as well as the (too many to count) pumpkin cookies I had the night before that. WHAT WAS I THINKING?!
I slipped them on, and literally gasped. They fit over my legs! And they were sooo comfortable! Like soooo comfortable. I looked at the tag - relaxed skinny jeans. So that was the key. They’re like boyfriend jeans and skinny jeans mixed together - these pants are the best of both worlds.
I’m also loving this floral bomber jacket! My husband took a few flying lessons (he’s basically a pilot) and so now I feel uber cool hanging with him. Like I’m part of the cool kids crowd. I pushed up the sleeves since we’ve been experiencing some warmer-than-usual weather back east. Obviously, I had to wear my aviator style sunnies.
Shout out to Piperlime who was so sweet to share some of their fave fall styles with me so I could share my #momentsofchic with you!

50 Shades of Beige
I love bright colors - the brighter the better. But look in my closet? Blacks, navys, whites, off-whites, more shades of white and brown. Of course, I have splatters of pink and purple, but the majority are neutrals. So one day, I decided to put on all the beige things for work and VIOLA! The result is as follows.

Statement Blazer
DC’s weather is a hot mess. One minute it’s 90 degrees and you can’t stop sweating (err, *glistening*) - the next it’s torrential downpour and you, of course, forgot your umbrella. Or is that just me? Literally I only forget to bring my umbrella on days when it rains.
When I spotted this pretty blazer from Anthom, I knew it’d be perfect for those drizzly, cooler evenings in DC. I love how it drapes and the inside lining is satin which is AMAZING. Plus, I love a double duty jacket I can wear for work and after hours!
Next week, I’ll be sharing some photos I shot at Anthom after their store opening. Their new store is in Mosaic District, and if you haven’t visited, I HIGHLY encourage it. I am dying to return for this cropped blouse and these copper hangers.
