It’s official - I need a vacation.
I can FEEL it. My heart starts YEARNING for the ocean, for the beach, for that breath of fresh air.
Do you guys ever feel like that? For a long time, I wasn’t sure WHY I felt this way. But then over the past few days, I figured it out.
It’s because - that environment INSPIRES ME. And that’s what I THRIVE on.
And I only realized that after listening to Alina of The Hyperbalist talk on Instagram Stories about the fallout she had working at Cupcakes & Cashmere. (If you aren’t following Alina, and you need a super fresh outlook on life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness - literally those three things - this is her Instagram, but the most interesting content is found in her Insta Stories!) She does not shy away from talking about topics we typically steer clear from, which feels so refreshing!
So while the conversation about Alina’s fallout at C&C, a greater conversation has emerged of women supporting other women, respecting someone’s right to literally say anything they want (and that being totally fine), and the importance of being inspired in the work environment when you’re job is focused around creativity.
Anyway, as an ode to my deep desire for a tropical vacation, I’m sharing these photos from my last trip to Florida. I rented this Rebecca Taylor blouse from Rent the Runway and sported my face Re/done denim for a coffee date with the hubby one morning while on Marco Island.
I want to hear - what inspires you?
