Traveling is one of my greatest joys.
From a young age, a love of travel (and how to do so on a budget) was instilled in me.
Growing up, we spent a LOT of time in the car going from place to place. Whether it be heading up to visit my Bostonian family or down to Florida to visit my grandparents…one time, my dad bought a minivan during our annual trip to California and we drove it cross-country home.
Now come to think of it, I think my style really reflects my favorite destinations to travel. I guess I like to take those places with me wherever I go.
Take this outfit for example - casual, comfortable with a bit of trendy thrown in for good measure.
When I look at it, it reminds me of my trips to LA growing up, white pants year round, soaking up the sunshine, delicate jewelry that looks best with a little skin showing, living my best casual life…while still buttoned up. Literally.
It reminds me of the mission trip I took to Fiji in high school, one that changed my life, and showed me a life outside myself.
The sneakers, a nod to NYC - I spotted them on Soho-based Anthom’s instagram page, and immediately made the call. I knew they’d become a staple, and they certainly have.
My glasses, a nod to the fact that I need to see the places I visit (LOL)
How has travel affected your style? I’d love to know!
