Black + Camel

If there is one thing this winter has taught me about fashion, it’s that you can never wear too many layers. In my perfect world, it would always be sunny and seventy five, but alas, only California provides that kind of magical weather. So, essentially, my goal in life has become to stay that temperature no matter how frigid it is outside.

This turtleneck dress has been my answer to all the cold weather problems. When I said it was THE PERFECT LAYERING DRESS, I wasn’t kidding. When I attended a baby shower last weekend, I wore it under a camel sweater and light camel jacket, complete with a blanket scarf to keep all kinds of cozy. The only thing missing? Cheek muffs. Can someone invent those, please?

All Buttoned Up

I love trying new things.

The whole buttoned-up-all-the-way thing? Not something I thought I’d try. But I have to admit, I’m kind of digging this whole 18th century vibe.

Another trend I hadn’t really gotten into? Menswear. I feel like this outfit has a masculine feel with feminine touches, like the booties, frills, red lips and these adorable oversized pearl earrings. I probably should have worn my hair down straight, but pony tails are sooo easy! And for a busy day of meetings, store openings and an evening shoot, I couldn’t really let my hair get in the way.

Are you guys into the menswear trend? Boyfriend jeans, oversized coats? I actually really want to try to sport a bow tie - like, as a girl, how do you EVEN? But the bow ties my hubby got from Bull+Moose have me really wanting to find a way.
