If you live in DC, Monday means more than just an exit from the weekend. It means more than the start of a workweek and more than the day to catch up on a weekend full of work emails.
It signals the day to try your very best to get passes to the YAYOI KUSAMA Infinity Mirrors exhibit at the Hirshhorn Museum.
For weeks I had tried booking passes to visit the limited-time showcase of Yayoi Kusama’s work. I’d seen my friends visit, wondering their secret to snagging a peek at her Instagram-worthy art. The secret? LUCK.
Seriously. It’s all about luck. And timing of course. Be ready Monday at noon on your computers on this page to get tickets for the following week. When the clock strikes noon, it’s time to type as fast as you can. I recommend choosing a date that isn’t going to be on everyone’s list (i.e. I choose a Thursday afternoon rather than a weekend.)
The exhibit closes on May 14 - may the odds be ever in your favor.
