Just over a month ago, we welcomed the sweetest addition to our family, little miss Chloe.
We've been enjoying every minute with her and soaking in all the newborn magic while we can...she's already changed so much!
Because babies change so fast, I wanted to capture some moments with our little family to share with our loved ones. I knew I wanted my wonderful photographer and friend, Erin Krespan, to shoot the images for us, and I can't wait to share those in the coming weeks.
But in the meantime, I am so excited to share the birth announcement cards we ordered through Basic Invite. I wanted a really easy way to share these with our friends + family without a ton of hassle (I am STILL writing thank you notes from my baby shower!) Thankfully, Basic Invite has beautifully designed options and an easy-to-use interface.
A few things I loved about using Basic Invite: You can choose between unlimited colors (which is great for the design fanatic in me!) Not many sites offer this, so it's a huge draw when you want every detail to look perfect. Something unique about using Basic Invite was the ability to also change the color of the envelopes! I landed on white, but only because I couldn't decide on which color to choose (there are 40 available!) It adds a really lovely touch and an excellent way to set the tone for an invitation or personalized birth announcement. You can even add a foil to your card, giving it that EXTRA something to make it stand out.
I also love that you can order a sample of the card before sending off. While I didn't take advantage of this, it's the perfect service for someone who has a little more time, and wants to see how something will look once it's printed ahead of time.
Luckily, I had addresses from our wedding and the shower invitations, so those were easy to upload to the Basic Invite system. But if I hadn't, Basic Invite actually has an address capturing service that allows customers to simply share a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any other form of social media to request their friends and family’s addresses! (And you're sending holiday cards, they offer recipient address printing at no cost on all Christmas cards!)
Not only do they print the addresses on the envelope for you, but they offer full mailing as well so it took me out of the hassle completely. This was the biggest life-saver to me and made the biggest difference. With a little one at home, all I want to do is cuddle her all day, so I was eternally grateful I didn't need to worry about adding stamps to envelopes and getting them mailed off.
We got our announcements in the mail last week and everyone has been raving about them ever since. If you have a new one in the family, and are looking for an easy, beautiful way to share all about your new babe, I'd highly recommend using Basic Invite!
Right now Basic Invite is offering 40% off birth announcements and baby shower invites with coupon code:
