This season is all about the midi dress for me. I adore the classic vibe they give off, and even better, they hide the part of my body that I'm most self conscious about haha! (Anyone else severely self conscious about their knees? JUST ME?)
This one in particular has become a favorite lately - it feels very LA to me, and has the most flattering details. It reminds me a lot of this other dress I own, but I actually like it better - and it's like 1/4 of the price. While Realisation Par is a very cool-girl brand, this dress and a windy day don't mix well. I learned that the hard way in Paris when I wore this dress on a day with intermittent showers and surprise gusts of winds. I may have given the Parisians a show they didn't sign up to see.
But this dress - it's length mixed in with a little slit, some pretty ruffles and a lower neckline - is the perfect combination of sweet and sexy.
And something very cool happening through December 6...this midi dress is on sale for 30% off! Down from $69 to 48! It comes in a bunch of other patterns, and is a part of a larger sale happening on all dresses, jumpsuits and rompers at Urban Outfitters - all 30% off! Run, don't walk, friends.
I styled it with my favorite SUPER affordable mules from Target - they're part of the Who What Wear collection which has been slowly receiving a part of my paycheck ever since they released their collaborations. They're comfortable, and they look REALLY expensive. It's funny how sometimes an affordable item can really elevate an outfit.
On top, I added my DSTLD black denim jacket, another go-to of mine this Fall. I love a black denim jacket in my closet because I can throw it on over all my denim without feeling like Britney Spears circa 1999. And this Hobo bag? It's THE perfect grab-n-go size. It's probably been my most-worn bag this year (aside from my work totes.)
As a finishing touch, I wore this delicate Mejuri necklace, which I've been addicted to wearing every since it arrived in my mailbox. They have the cutest dainty pieces - I own this ring and this bracelet (last seen here!)
Then - these glasses have been my SAVING GRACE. They are Ray-ban prescription sunglasses that Ottica sent me to try out, and now I don't have to decide being able to see and protecting my eyesight from the sun. Their customer service was great, and the whole process was very easy to navigate. I just uploaded my persecution, picked my glasses and viola!
Don't forget to shop the UO sale while it still lasts! 30% off all rompers, dresses and jumpsuits - no code needed. Stuff can sell out quickly, so you want to shop it while all the best pieces are in stock!
