Good morning! I am very excited to bring you the latest installment of our Instagram Guide to DC: Georgetown edition!
This one was particularly hard because it’s one of the areas in DC where I spend the most time and have so many favorite spots! Be sure to check out my list of honorable mentions at the end!
SHOPPING
Violet Boutique
The fun clothing shop offers affordable styles and this season’s favorite trends. See more photos of it’s Instagram’able interior and adorable selection of clothing on Maeve’s blog today! Violet Boutique is located at 3289 M St NW, Washington, DC, 2000
Lynn Louisa
While I don’t usually play favorites, this spot is one of my top spots to shop in the area. I always always ALWAYS find something I love when I visit, due to the perfectly curated selection of on-trend pieces by the owner, Gabby Klingman.
Lynn Louisa has a very laid back, California cool vibes with brands like Anine Bing, Ganni, Rachel Comey, Just Female, and newly-add Achro (my FAVORITE!)
She also carries small, local designers like Sophie Blake and Brooklyn-based K/LLER.
The shopping experience here is like one you’d find in New York or LA. It truly brings the joy back into shopping and takes away the stress of sorting through racks and racks of clothing. But don’t take my word for it - pop in to see for yourself! Lynn Louisa is located at 1631 Wisconsin Ave NW, Washington, DC 20007.
EATING:
District Doughnut:
This fun donut/coffee spot is hidden down on Cady’s Alley in Georgetown, and offers the cutest Instagramable donuts and artwork inside.
You can read all about it on Erin’s blog today! District Doughnut is located at 3327 Cady's Alley NW, Washington, DC 20007
Malmaison
If I could choose one spot to spend my lunch break, this would be it. This French cafe has loads of natural light, lavender-colored couches, marble tables, seasonal flowers, and the tastiest bites for brunch or lunch.
I love sitting by one of their floor-to-ceiling windows, but truly anywhere you sit is going to create the most lovely imagery. My favorite drink at Malmaison is the french lavender tea latte.
Honorable mentions:
Baked & Wired (see post here!)
Chaia Tacos (see post here!)
