This year, more than ever, I've taken my athleisure-wear very seriously. Maybe it's being pregnant and needing to find that comfort balance in my wardrobe, or the perfect ounce of minimalism the sporty trends bring to the table, but either way, it's clear that this vibe has longevity.
If you're having trouble imagining yourself in athleisure-wear, today's post is for you. I collaborated with French staple brand, Anne Fontaine, to show you how Athleisure can still be pretty and feminine!
A few tips on how I made it happen below:
Focus on fabric:
The pants I'm wearing look sporty, but they're actually velvet trousers! Choosing a feminine fabric with an athletic vibe can be a great way to ease into the trend.
Flirty details:
The sweet bow on this blouse really helps bring out the feminine details of the look. Even though it's a simple touch, it makes a big difference.
Choose the right shoes:
Since this was a work look, I opted for a pair of patent leather loafers with some feminine touches - a small heel (just right for walking around the office) in a pretty blush tone with a pointed toe. If I were going out to dinner, I'd throw on a black strappy sandal with these and a small black clutch to dress up the look even more.
Each of these details seems minute, but can go a long way when mixing two different styles.
