Last weekend, I celebrated my birthday by being a complete tourist in DC. Since we live outside the city, it was such a treat to use Airbnb to book a stay in someoneβs condo on Dupont Circle. For exploring the Dupont area, I wanted to wear something cute, but obviously comfortable. I stuck with my trusty white jeans for the cooler evening and this pretty lace tank top I snagged on sale at Nordstrom.
We grabbed a bite at District Taco (it rivals Chipotle, you guys), got emotional about some paintings at The Phillips Collection, and found a sweet local coffee spot my husband read about in one of his coffee books (where I picked up the SECRETS issue of D/CITY!) To finish off the evening, we grabbed some tasty thai food at Doi Moi (a rec from Tammy), enjoyed some gelato at Dolcezza and swung by a late-night concert at The Hamilton. The next morning we did brunch at Busboys and Poets, where I practically inhaled the homemade amazingness that is their French Toast. It was the perfect weekend.
So, did we hit all the best spots? Is there anywhere in Dupont I should go next time? Let me know!
